Accounting Supervisor (Part-Time) — Baghdad

Closing on: Nov 8, 2026

ALJUHUD for Oil Services is a leading Iraqi directional drilling and oilfield services company, headquartered in Baghdad. We are hiring a part-time Accounting Supervisor to manage our invoicing, billing, and financial reporting.

About the Role

This is a mid-level supervisory position for an accountant who can run day-to-day invoicing and collections with minimal oversight, keep our records clean inside Odoo, and make sure every invoice is matched to its payment. The role carries full responsibility for completing all assigned tasks within their set deadlines — no task is left open or pending.

📍 Work Location & Travel

  • The main work location is the company’s Baghdad head office, four (4) days per week, with some tasks performed remotely through our cloud systems.
  • If the company assigns the accountant to another location, all travel, accommodation, and transport costs are covered by ALJUHUD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and issue client invoices and supplier bills accurately and on time.
  • Follow up outstanding client payments and receivables; send statements and reminders, and coordinate collection with management.
  • Record, track, and verify all company expenses, with full supporting documentation.
  • Prepare income and expense reports on a monthly basis and on a 3-, 6-, 9-, and 12-month (annual) cumulative basis.
  • Review and verify the final financial statements and ensure their accuracy.
  • Build and maintain reconciliation (matching) tables between invoices, client statements, bank receipts, and ledger entries.
  • Operate and maintain the company’s Odoo accounting system (Invoicing, Accounting, Contacts, and Reporting modules).
  • Supervise and review the work of junior accounting and data-entry staff.
  • Support internal controls, tax/withholding review, and continuous improvement of financial procedures.
  • Complete every assigned task within its deadline and keep no item open without resolution.

✔ Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Iraqi nationality preferred.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including invoicing and receivables.
  • Hands-on, practical experience with Odoo (or a similar ERP) is required.
  • Familiarity with Odoo Analytic Accounting / Analytic Plans (tracking cost and revenue by project or department) is an advantage; otherwise, the company will provide training on its use.
  • Strong command of Excel and reconciliation/matching techniques.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, in addition to Arabic.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage reporting cycles without delay.
  • High accuracy, discretion with confidential financial data, and strong follow-up discipline.

★ What We Offer

  • A part-time schedule (4 days/week) that fits alongside other commitments.
  • A key role in a growing Iraqi oilfield-services company with modern systems.
  • Competitive monthly compensation, reviewed after an initial period.
  • Company-covered travel for any assignment outside Baghdad.
